This is a beautiful example of early 1950’s design aesthetic. With the look of the 40’s starting to fade into memory, the Roadmaster Skylark was created to mark the 50th Anniversary of Buick. This example is wearing Condor Yellow original paint while the interior is black, yellow and immaculate. Those gorgeous fins were only offered in the 1954 model year and show what could have been in the Skylark’s future.
Sadly, the Skylark was cancelled because of poor sales. It was to expensive and to small (if you can believe that). This makes 50’s Skylarks VERY rare and this is the last one made, number 836. it is proudly displayed at the Dauer Museum in Sunrise, Florida. These pictures were taken in 2021 when we had VIP tickets and a wonderful docent to show us around the car collection. Dauer takes their car seriously, they keep them all running whenever possible!
